My path as a Family Photographer!

Vancouver photographer near a beautiful lake in British Columbia

Photography, for me, is about reliving the moments that make life meaningful, the laughter that fills a quiet room, the warmth of a small hand in yours, the in-between glances that say more than words ever could. I’m inspired by the ability to hold on to these memories to freeze a feeling, a connection, a truth that might otherwise slip away.

My love for photography began when I discovered stop motion animation. I was fascinated by how a single frame could tell a story, how each image became a tiny piece of art. That early curiosity slowly grew into a deeper calling: to document real human connection and the joy that lives in everyday life.

I’m drawn to slow living, simplicity, beauty, honesty, connection, and respect. These values guide not only my photography but the way I live. To me, photography isn’t just about taking pictures; it’s about being fully present, grounded in the right now.

Most days, you’ll find me spending time with my daughter {home schooling}, doing yoga, preparing wholesome meals for my family, or working on creative projects that help my business grow. When I’m not behind the camera, I love hiking the forest trails around Vancouver, crocheting, and reading. Being outdoors fills me with happiness and openness; it reminds me why I love natural light and unposed moments in my photography.

I feel most connected to families who embrace emotional connection and child-led curiosity, the ones who let life unfold naturally, with laughter and love. Those honest, fleeting moments are where the magic truly lives.

Through my work as a Vancouver family photographer, I hope to build more than just beautiful images; I want to create friendships and lasting connections that celebrate life’s fleeting, imperfectly perfect, yet unforgettable moments.

If this speaks to you, let’s begin creating your story together.
