WELCOME GUIDE

Preparing for Your In home Session with Neha Hira Photography

  • Mindset:

  • Relax and Play: Approach the session with a relaxed and playful attitude. Genuine

interactions lead to the most heartfelt photographs.

  • Well-being: Ensure everyone, especially children, are well-fed and rested before the session.

  • If you have young children, please tell them a friend is coming to take photos of your family with a camera. You can also show them a photo of me ahead of time so they know what I look like.

  • You don’t need a perfect home

Let me say this clearly: your home does NOT need to look like a magazine. In-home newborn photography is about connection, not perfection.

I look for:

  • Natural window light

  • Neutral spaces (bedrooms, living rooms, nursery)

  • Areas with soft textures

Before I arrive, simply:

  • Clear bedside tables of clutter

  • Remove bright or distracting items

  • Make the bed with a neutral blanket if possible

That’s it. No deep cleaning required.

Your family won’t remember spotless counters, but you’ll remember holding them in this space.

  • Attire Recommendations:

    • Comfort is Key: Wear outfits that make you feel comfortable and represent your true

      self.

    • Color Palette: Opt for earthy tones to achieve a timeless and natural look.

    • Avoid Distracting Elements: Steer clear of fluorescent colors and clothing with text or logos, unless they hold personal significance.

    What to Expect:

During our session, I'll provide gentle guidance to capture natural interactions. The goal is to document your family's unique story authentically and enjoyably.
